Helper Helperton

I turned my back to get Clairee something to eat, and when I turned around this is what I saw. Pretty precious! She actually did a pretty good job too! She really is an amazing helper, pretty good for a 3 year old. Man, who would have thought that I would love these little people as much as I do, didn't know it was possible to love anyone this much! Movies coming soon..

I am really having fun!

Clairee LOVES LOVES to play outside! She plays for hours. This is her lastest toy to play on! It's even hard to get her to come in and eat. At night after I get Shonee ready for bed I tell Clairee it's time to come in and get ready for bed she hangs her head and says "But Momma I am really having fun" I am so glad she loves to be outside that much!

Branding in the Spring Time

Wore Mr. Bernard out!

Chappy and Shilo. He keeps trying to make a horse deal with her. He tells her that he will buy here horse from her, and the perk is that when he dies she can have it back. So far she isn't going for it.

Neal's fine looking calf!

All of our fine help! The day was perfect! The weather was beautiful, and good company too!

This is how Shonee spent her branding. A little snoose and then to the backpack. I was busy with the calves so she was packed around by Aunt Jamiee.

Clairee was all sorts of good help! Her and Mandy "colored" on the cows. They marked them after they got their shots. Then Clairee needed a coke break and she sat and looked at the cows! Then she followed Granny along while she branded. She is the best cowboy ever.

Memories

Last week we went back to Oakley, Idaho for my Grams funeral. This was so bittersweet! Gram had lost her eye sight and no longer could walk. She also wasn't able to be in Oakley anymore. The Saturday before she died Dad, Gus, the girls and I went and saw her. She asked Dad if she would ever walk again, and Dad told her probably not in this life. Then that next Thursday she went home where she could see, walk, read, crochet, and all the other things that she had once enjoyed. It was sad to return to Oakley and no have Gram there, but I have to say that her funeral was amazing!!! I walked away with so much peace and comfort, all that participated in the services did an amazing job!
I hope that one day I can be they type of woman that my Gram was! She was the hardest working lady a going. One of my favorite things that my Dad shared that Gram lived by was: There is no future in the past. I think that I tend to hold on to the past sometimes, and I hope to change my life to live by going forward and not dwelling on the past. I hope that I can be remember for some of the qualities that Gram was remembered for. Like: Her faith, church work, service to others, temple work, family history, hard worker, an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, sister. Just an all around amazing lady! She left and amazing legacy that will be remembered always.
Aunt Evelyn, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Doris, Dad, Uncle Andy. Not pictured Uncle Pat.

So many great memories in this house!! I just needed to have a picture of this good ole house!

It was so nice to see family that we haven't seen in forever! Hate to say thank goodness for funerals, but I am other wise we would never see each other.

April Happenings

Clairee's 3 rd Birthday!

Maggie decorated Clairee's cake

Decorating eggs!

Easter Morning. So all morning Clairee has been trying to find the Easter Bunny. She was calling him: "Here bunny bunny!" So at lunch today Chappy told Clairee that when he came home from church he say the Easter Bunny leaving he headed out into the cows. Clairee clinched her fists and hit the table with both fists and said "Holy crap! We have to find the Easter Bunny, I need him." We all had quit a good laugh. Clairee is so smart there isn't really anything she misses, so you really have to be careful of what you do, she also doesn't forget anything! She definitely has her very own mind, which I really do love about her. Even if she does out smart me.
